Create your own wax-resist artwork in a relaxed, intimate setting. Multiple dates available.
Join artist Angela Wilson in her home studio in Kinsale for a hands-on introduction to the beautiful art of batik. Small group sizes mean you'll get plenty of one-to-one guidance — no experience needed.
Day One – Learn different wax-resist dyeing techniques, then start designing your own piece.
Day Two – Complete your artwork (and maybe squeeze in a second one!).
You'll go home with your very own A3 batik artwork on cotton, plus the know-how to keep creating.
When: Two days, 10:00–16:30 each day. Dates available for 2026; 25th June, 9th July, 24th August, 21st September, 15th October.
Where: Angela's studio, Kinsale, P17 WH17
Who: Adults of all skill levels
Bring: Your lunch (microwave available), clothes you don't mind getting dye on (or an apron and gloves), and any images that inspire you — photos on your phone, postcards, anything you love.
Provided: Tea, coffee, and refreshments throughout.
Interested in weekend dates? Get in touch — more options may be added based on demand.
Barter- Your creativity is important. If the workshop is not part of your budget I'm happy to consider suggestions as a swap or pay it forward as payment.
